I am considering using the campout theme for my son's 3rd birthday party. Not sure if he and his friends are too young though. By the time July rolls around he will have a cousin who is almost 6yrs old and one who is 3 1/2. His other friends are two 4yr olds, a 3yr old and a 2yr old.
The kids who stay over night would have to have a parent stay with them. I would put on the invitation that sleeping over is optional, but they should bring a tent if they want to stay.
We could do a scavenger hunt, tent shaped pinata, smores themed treats, dirt cake, etc.
Any thoughts? Are they too young for this?
Re: Backyard Campout for 3rd Birthday?
Personally I think they are too young. I would wait until they can sleep over without a parent. Maybe just have the cousin stay the night.
Defiantly would skip the actually sleep over part. That's something better fit for a 7-8th birthday party.
The theme is super cute though and there is so much you can do for it. Ive found tons on things on Etsy!
Fun theme!!! But I can't imagine my kids (3 1/2) camping out...and I would hate it too
. But the whole theme would be super fun for an evening party.
I was thinking maybe basement or family room campout but even that I don't think my kids could handle, they'd get scared either after the fun wore off or in the middle of the night.
That is absolutely adorable! I might steal it!
I'd skip the overnight part too though and just set up a tent to play in for the day.
