All babies like different seat. I had a swing, a glider chair, a bouncy seat and a vibrating chair for my son. Never really liked the swing or vibrating chair. He was ok with the bouncy seat. He loved to be held in the glider chair (still does....he is 2 now). He really liked his car seat....we often had to put him in the car seat and drive him around in the car for a bit to get him to fall asleep and then very gently take him out of the car in the carseat, carry him into the house and he would keep sleeping. In the end, he preferred being held by mommy or daddy compared to everything else.
For this baby I have all of the above plus a ManaRoo. Looking forward to seeing what she likes.

It isn't necessary but they are definitely each very useful in their own way. The swing is great for naps, the glider is good for feelings, and the bouncer is nice to set baby in while you're cleaning, showering, etc.
We registered and received the Fisher-Price spacesaver swing and seat. Hopefully little man likes it. I liked that it was a swing and a bouncer seat in one.
We have a swing, a bouncer, a seat that rocks/vibrates, and the PnP has the "newborn napper", which I forgot about. Our house is two floors/big, so itll be nice to have at least a seat/place to put the baby on each floor without having to lug equipment around too. Watch, our baby will prefer one! Thats the beauty of it lol We wont know til they're here. Hard to be prepared yet unprepared at the same time!
we registered for a baby swing, that was the one thing we really didnt get off the registry. one of our gifts was a rocker that my cousin gave us. she said her twin daughters lived in these for almost 6 months!
I think we are going to see how we do and we might get the swing with the completion discount at BBB.
We only have a rocker/seat. The fisher price one. Registered for a swing too, but didn't really expect to get one. I'm kind of thinking it would be a good idea, but the wife says not to worry about one. I'm starting to see her way on it, especially without knowing what he'll like.
Kind of related question, sorry if this is thread jacking: Is there a place that you can try swings out to see if he would even like it? We live in a smaller town, so the only store we have without driving an hour, is walmart.
