Nausea nausea nausea

Stating the obvious: I'm nauseous all the time now. No vomit just a nasty feeling in my tummy whether I'm hungry or full. And i have to make myself eat something when im hungry because of this icky feeling i lost my appetite. It starts as soon as I wake up and it just doesn't end. The only time i dont feel it is when im sleeping. Also I take my prenatal vitamins before I go to bed so that helps a little. Right now I'm craving lemons or anything sour. I can't wait for this stage to pass :(  What helps your nausea? I'm willing to try anything at this point and this is only the beginning for me!

Re: Nausea nausea nausea

  • I'm only nauseous (never puked). I carry lemon juice with me everywhere because anything with carbonation and/or lemon will help my nausea.

  • ginger ale and crackers help my nausea.
  • I'm the same at this point. It is 11:30pm here and I'm tired, want to go to sleep but this nausea is keeping me up. :( When I'm hungry, and I crave something in particular, I'll make it but then I won't want it anymore or I will just eat a little at a time. This is all so new and strange! I started off with ginger ale and crackers, but now I can't even think about them because I've had too much. The smell of lemon and ginger has helped, but I can't go around smelling them all day! I walk around and take deep breaths or do something to distract myself. It only helps a little bit. I feel your pain!

  • Ginger helps me a lot! Ginger gum, ginger lollipops, anything like that. Also, before you get up in the morning make sure you eat a few crackers even if you don't feel like eating.

  • Citrus doesn't seem to upset my stomach, same with mint... so I have a slew of gum and Halls Defense with Vit C. Then of course, the script of Zofran is with me at all times too. I have thrown up a couple of times and I am like you, I have to avoid feeling hungry because at that point, it's almost like that is the point of no return.

  • Odviously lurking here but anything lemon or pepermint flavored or scented helped me. I use to eat peppermints and lemon drops and I bought lemon lotion and would rub some under my nose so I could smell it for a while. Sounds weird but it worked for me:)

  • I understand your feeling. Try not to let your tummy get empty. I know it doesn't seem like it sometimes but if your stomach gets empty, it makes you feel worse. So try eating a little something when you start to feel icky (like a granola bar or some veggies or fruit).

I have also found that sucking on a hard candy or a peppermint helps a lot but only for a short time.

Gingerale has not really worked for me, it actually makes me feel worse and burpy.

It is all a trial and error game, trying to find what works for you. Everyone is so different.

I'm so sick of ginger ale too! I did start drinking carbonated water mixed with lemon juice and it seems to be helping a bit.

That sounds like a really good idea! I actually ordered some "Preggy pops" yesterday so I'll have to see how those work out...
