I was so sick during my first trimester that going to the gym didn't happen. My challenge was getting from bed to bathroom or bed to kitchen to warn something.
I wouldn't say I was incredibly fit before pregnancy but I did usually do a Bodypump and a Bodybalance a week and took 3-5 35 minute walks a week.
Now at 15 weeks I'm slowly feeling like a person again and can eat and walk to the store (7 min away). Sometimes that makes me tired now. It's hard to know what is pregnancy being exhausting and what is all the fitness I have lost in the past months.
If I were to go to the gym today I think I'd feel a bit lost. I have a time with a physical therapist on wednesday to get pregnancy exercises as I have scoliosis (which usually doesn't bother me but might during pregnancy). Until then any ideas how to get started again?
I know you ladies are all quite hard core and inspiring so I thought I'd ask here.

I did not workout in my 1st tri, except for walking, but in my 2nd tri, I started slow, instead of a class everyday, I did a class 2 times a week, and slowly upped to 3 classes. Just let the instructors know you are pregnant and they will give you modifications. I do spin classes and the instructors check in with me during the class to see how I am doing. I thought it would be very difficult to get back into it, but it really wasn't.
Although I'm still pretty much doing my pre pregnancy workouts (with slight modifications), I considered hiring a trainer with a prenatal certification for 3-5 sessions to give me some workouts I could do while pregnant. So if money isn't an issue, you could try that.
Another option is to resume your pre pregnancy routine. Unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise, you are perfectly fine continuing to do what you were doing pre pregnancy. BodyPump is perfectly fine to continue. You may find that you may need to modify certain moves and decrease your weight at some point. Unfortunately I am not familiar with Body Balance so I have no input on that workout.
Finally, if all else fails, check out some workouts on Fit Pregnancy (www.fitpregnancy.com...they have videos too) or get some DVDs. I hear the Tracey Anderson CDs are pretty good. I do a few of the Fit Pregnancy workouts if I can't make it to the gym and I don't have the energy for Insanity and I find them sufficient.

Good luck! I worked out most of first tri and then major fatique/laziness/holidays happened and I got off track for about a month. I ran a mile for the first time without stopping again this week, it was much slower, but it still felt great to run again. Of course, I was doing 6ish miles early pregnancy, so this is a major reduction. Take it easy and be proud of what ever exercise you are able to do. It's good for you and the baby!
