Hello Ladies! This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc.
TTC again, even after successfully bringing home a LO (or multiple LOs) is a stressful process for all of us, and this group is meant to allow us the opportunity to provide support and suggestions to one another, and to receive the same in return.
A check-in will be posted every Wednesday. Please send me a PM or reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. The more the merrier! Let's get this board going again.
Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC journey following SAIF and a response to the QOTW.
QOTW: What is your favorite book to read to your LO(s)?

Re: **~**TTC Again Check In**~**
Update: I had a growth scan on Tuesday, and everything looks good. Baby girl is 1lb 3oz and baby boy is 1lb 4oz. They certainly FEEL a lot bigger than that! I have been put on pelvic rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Poor DH, but I am NOT complaining about that part.
QOTW: It changes depending on what DS is interested in at any given time, but I love reading "The Little Engine That Could" to him right now. He LOVES trains and constantly chatters about "choo-choos" :-)

QOTW: DS loves the Skippyjon Jones books. They are so cute and clever!

Nothing really new to report here. My acupuncturist is toying with my herbs a bit. I'm just blindly following her advice. We'll see if they help.
I had CD3 bloodwork done this month (I already posted about that) and then I had CD 21 bloodwork done to make sure I ovulated. I was a bit irritated because no one told me that you really should have that done 7 days after you ovulated (I had it done 2 days after b/c who really has a perfect 28 day cycle around here?) but the doc didn't want to do a redraw because he really was just looking to confirm that I had ovulated, and it did. Whatever.
After some research I decided to make an appointment with a doctor in the city who specializes in surgery for endo. My OB did my previous two surgeries and I'm on the schedule for a third with him, but the more I thought about it the more I think it would be better to actually go to someone who is known world wide for this kind of thing. I have my consultation with the new guy on the 26th of this month. If I like him I'm going to cancel the other surgery and have him do it. I'm already sorda leaning towards that route anyway considering this doctor also is an infertility specialist as well and I need to find a new one of those anyway because the RE I was seeing for years just moved back to Canada at the end of January!
QOTW: MY favorite book to read to the kids is "On the Night You Were Born" and I cry pretty much every time I read it aloud. DD's favorite book(s) are all of her Disney Princess books. She is obsessed with Cinderella right now. DS could really care less about books right now, but we make him sit and be read to anyway. He is usually subjected to whatever his sister is looking at
I had my NT scan on Monday, and everything looked good. It looks like I have either marginal or partial placenta previa this time (she didn't use that term, but said it was either near or partially covering the cervix, I forget which, since I didn't realize it was a big deal, having had anterior placenta last time), so I am on pelvic rest until my next visit at 18 weeks, when it will hopefully have resolved itself.
I was a bad little patient last night though. She told me not to go to the Mardi Gras parades as part of my pelvic rest (I guess she considers it being too active), but yeah, I went out and watched one of the parades, and was grabbing for everything. I couldn't help it, two of my best girlfriends were riding and had bags of swag just for me.
I'm debating on going to any more parades through this weekend (not really big on Lundi or Mardi Gras days/nights at this point), and am throwing a party on Sunday for the parade that rolls by our house (1.5 blocks away). Hopefully I won't do anything that causes me to bleed, which I think was her main concern.

IVF #2: 11/12-12/12: ER: 20R, 20M, 16F, 4 Frosties; 5dt: 3 blasts, DS born 8/9/13
QOTD: my son has always loved PeekAWho! I also really love The Little Blue Truck but DS isn't that interested in it... But it's such a cute book!
Update: On Monday we had a huge surprise with a BFP! I had an appointment on Wednesay and they did an u/s. It was absolutely amazing to see our new LO. I didn't know what it would be like to see LO #2, but seeing that u/s was just as breathtaking as seeing LO #1 for the first time! EDD is 9/22/13
QOTW: I saw someone else already said this but "On the Night You Were Born" gets me every time, too. I LOVE reading it to her. I also love "God Gave Us You". DD loves any Sandra Boynton books so those are fun to read because she laughs and giggles so much!
Nothing new over here. Waiting on AF to hopefully start next week for CD3 test and SA.
QOTD: LO loves any and all Sandra Boynton books, really into the belly button book right now. He also likes the touch/texture ones.
4 Clomid cycles BFN's,3 injectible cycles BFN, 3 failed IUI's
Hystroscopy to remove cysts 11/2010

Surprise BFP 10/9/12. Blighted ovum at 8wks. D&C 11/1/12.
Surprise BFP#2 TWINS!!! Boy/Girl twins.
UPDATE: Please add me to the BFP list. After my u/s yesterday, they moved my EDD to 10/3/13.
QOTW: DD loves any book that also has a song with it. EX: Itsy-bitsy spider & the wheels on the bus.
"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." -- Dale Carnegie
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." --Thomas A. Edison
Update: We had our a/s on Monday and I think everything is okay. The tech didn't comment one way or the other, but when I went to my OB apt that afternoon the results hadn't been faxed to him yet. He said that if there was a problem they would have called him so I shouldn't worry. We're team green, but the tech never had us look away from the screen during the scan. I'm notoriously bad a deciphering u/s, but I didn't see anything down there, nor did DH so we're thinking girl. We'll see.
QOTW: This is a tough one, I really like the Leslie Patricelli books, but I'm going to say Bear Snores On.
*GASP*
Kbeach! I just noticed that tomorrow is V-Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woot woot
Good job cooking those babies Kbeach
Update: just dying for our one day work up to get here so DH & I can finally get some answers.
QOTW: You are my sunshine is the latest favorite song & book.
QOTW: I really like "the house in the night." Also anything Richard Scarry. Or anything w bunnies.
Thank you for being excited for me :-) I hope to keep these babies growing for several more months, but I will be so happy and slightly relieved to reach this milestone tomorrow!

Yes! A few more MONTHS would definitely be preferred. I remember living for these milestones though ... V Day, then the third tri, then the 30's .... ah ... memories! You're getting there!
No real update, trying a new acupuncturist who is available more often tomorrow, I also ordered a combination of royal jelly and bee pollen in honey for egg quality. I figure why not try it for our next hopeful IVF/ICSI.
Wishing everyone well
QOTW: They love the Llama Llama books
CoQ10 is a good one to add for egg quality, I added this for our next "hopeful" cycle too
Update - Nothing new to report.
QOTW - DD loves all of the Pookie books. She is obsessed with pigs. My favorite book to read to her is I'll Love you Forever. Makes me cry because I don't want her to grow up.

Hi all. Had my first appt with MFM specialist Monday. NT scan went well. Babies looked so cute!!! Heartrates 156 and 164, 60 and 70 mm long. I'm glad to almost be out of first tri!
qotw: Goodnight Moon. DD is obsessed.
You do not need a script & it's easy to find, I get mine at Target & I am taking 400mg, CoQ10 is short for coenzyme Q10.
I will find out the day of the workup, after all the testing, what protocol he will recommend, when I went for the initial consult he felt that my previous RE had a sub par lab & that he used too much medication.
I know that you have mentioned your "hopeful" cycle & that your husband might not be onboard yet? I am in the same situation with my DH, he is thrilled with our duo & terrified of doing another cycle because of the risk of another failure & the huge debt we will be incurring again, I have tried not to push him but just take it one month at a time.
What a journey this is for us all!
The cyst that has delayed my FET for 6 weeks is finally no longer producing estrogen. I go back to the RE in two weeks to do another estradiol test and ultrasound. I'm hopeful I'll be able to start lupron the next day. I'll also be returning to acupuncture.
My two-year old is in love with Curious George, and anything involving Cars. I've had to "read" him a Cars calendar and lego instruction manual...
I am so sorry we are in similar situations yet it feels good to find someone else whose DH is not wanting to cycle again. It is just so tough when your DH does not understand the emptiness and unfinished feeling of not being done. That is exactly what my DH says, why can't you be content with our two? I really wish I could since having so much conflict over cycling is exhausting. Plus I know if we could have children naturally none of this would even be an issue. My DH hates IVF since he has to use it
He hates the losses and failures and does not realize those happen in natural pregnancy too. The money is just the hurt that comes with it. Anyways hugs to you and I cannot wait to read your updates on your one day work-up, at least your DH is on board for that! Take care
Can I join you ladies? I had success after IUI # 3 with my DD, but I'm currently TTC on my own. I have to TTC a year before my insurance will do anything, so we started TTC in July. Still no luck, but I'm not surprised there. I have PCOS and don't cycle on my own.
My favorite book to read DD is Goodnight Moon.
