FFFC

I want to quit pumping. I'm going away on a conference in a few days, and I think that will take a significant hit to my freezer stash. I'm still not 100% about whether I can pump and store, or if I have to pump and dump for 3 days. If I dump, my stash will be almost gone, meaning I probably can't afford to start losing a pumping session.

My FFFC is that I'm considering supplimenting wcm to make up the difference for his daycare bottles. He was given the go-ahead to try it at his 9 month appointment. He gets a sippy cup of it every night at dinner and chows down. So it would start with 3 oz BM with 1 oz WCM. (For those who can't see, he's 11 months today.) I'll probably chicken out though.

Any other FFFCs????

Re: FFFC

  • Steel - I quit pumping last week.  It's to the point where I'm not producing all that much anyway.  I nurse in the mornings only now.  I was nursing at night, but didn't feel that he was getting enough at that session.

  • I would quit. 11 mnths is dfine to introduce wcm and u did better than great nursing for nearly a year. Time to hang up the pump and start living!

  • I quit pumping a few weeks ago and feel so much better. I miss nursing him to sleep, but you wouldn't necessarily have to give up that part.

If he's been given the go-ahead to try wcm and he's getting enough nutrition from his table food, go for it.

Mine? I've gotten almost nothing done today. I took DS to Sam's club and that's it. All the bottles are dirty, there are toys on the floor and I'm still sitting here on the computer.

  • Our house is a train wreck. There's laundry everywhere, dishes pile up, it's almost embarrassing. We will do a big clean if we have something going on, like guests tomorrow, but we can't seem to keep it clean. My confession is, I don't put in as much effort as I should. When I get home, I want to make dinner and spend time with C. I don't want to clean up. When she goes to bed, I normally fall asleep too because we are waking up at 5AM. I need to make mysel stay up some each night and clean up. I've been feeling really guilty lately.

  • I've actually got one! DH just called to tell me he heard on the radio that a body was found in a dumpster of our apartmente complex. I know it's wrong, but I kind of want to put DS in the stroller and go for a walk and find out more.

  • KatFCo I am totally like this. For some reason, when there are fatal car accidents, I am so intrigued, for lack of a better word. When I was little, I was obsessed with the titanic. I was in 8th grade on 9/11 and was obsessed with the coverage of that. I feel like I should have been some casualty investigator or something.

I'm a bit nosey, so I would probably want to do the same!

We just recently started getting our house under control. We still haven't finished unpacking/settling in from our move, but it's starting to look a little more like a "home" now. DH have a system set up, and if either of us slacks, then the system fails. As soon as I get home, I cook dinner while DH plays with/watches LO. I have to do it quickly, because DS is getting fussy earlier and earlier in the night, especially when he only gets one nap in the day. We eat dinner together, and then on most nights, I take Micah for bath/jammies/story/bedtime while DH cleans all of our dishes and my pump parts. Some nights, we switch responsibilities, but it has to get done every night. The nights that we slack sets us into a spiral of disaster house. Honestly though, DH had to pick up a lot of the slack when I was preg with Micah, because after work, I had absolutely no energy left. I can't imagine that exhaustion with a LO on top of it all! I hope YH is putting in his time with the help!

  • We need to figure something out. He has stepped up alot lately. Normally he does the cleaning after I go to bed, but that just makes me feel guilty. We moved into our house September of 2011, and we are still unpacking. We have boxes in our garage and boxes in our basement. DH just wants to throw them away since we haven't touched them in a year and a half.

Don't feel guilty about him cleaning. You're not sitting around eating Bonn Bons and watching Soaps while he's slaving away. Everyone has to do their part. We've also gone back to paper plates, which has helped a ton. And, sorry I didn't say this earlier, but it's okay to have a messy house!

Same way over here. Some guy was murdered in my apartment building when I lived in a high rise. We lived on the 6th floor, and he was on the 11th floor. They found him in the trunk of his own car parked next to our dumpster. We probably walked past his car every day on our way to our own cars!

Man, that would be creepy to know I had walked by his car and he may have been in it!

Right now they don't know what happened to the man. There wasn't any obvious sign of trauma, and he was wrapped in a blanket. DH and I were wondering if maybe it was someone who was here illegally or died of natural causes and his family was afraid of notifying the authorities because they didn't want to get in trouble.
