With those who have lo's on solids, how many ounces do you give your lo daily? Also DD is almost 9 mns doing well with her sippy, is it common to transition formula into a sippy?

We do 3 meals- 4 oz of purees and finger foods at each meal and about 25 oz of formula a day. I am sticking to bottles until 12 months as I don't see any reason to put it in a sippy cup, but that is probably your call.

Little man nurses first thing in the morning, gets 15 oz breast milk and formula supplement when I'm at work, and then nurses at least twice before bedtime after I get home from work. Weekends, I have no idea how many oz as I just nurse him on demand every 2-3 hours...if I could guess, maybe 26-30 oz per day...

Solids: he gets 3-4 oz of purees/finger foods split into two meals - "breakfast" and "dinner."

We just now introduced the sippy when feeding solids, but we only put water in it. If your little one is drinking formula out of the sippy, I don't see the problem in it. As long as baby's drinking and getting enough, it's no different than a bottle, right? Just my opinion )

C eats 6 ounces of formula when she wakes up, 7 ounces of solids at 8am, 6 ounce bottle at 11am, 7 ounces of solids at 1pm, 6 ounce bottle at 4pm, 7 ounces of solids at 6:30, and around 6 ounce bottle at bedtime (8ish). She's 9 months.

DD is 7 months. She eats 7 oz of stage 2 food each day and somewhere around 34 oz of milk.

When DS was 9 months, he was eating three solid food meals, snacks like cheerios, 16 oz of milk from a bottle, and three nursing sessions. I never gave him milk from a sippy.

We feed about 4oz of purees three times a day. We also offer finger foods each meal and he eats as much as he wants of that. He drinks about 24oz of breastmilk over 5 meals or so. We offer a sippy of water with each meal of food. I usually remove the cap and let him try the cup at the very end. I planned to wait to add breastmilk to the sippy until we were transitioning to wcm at about a year. Joseph barely drinks an oz from it. But if you're having great success with the sippy, I say give formula a try. I've had great success with following Joseph's leads. Who knows, maybe you'll have an easy time weaning off the nipple if you start now. There's no harm so go for it!

This is what I've been thinking but wanted to hear others opinions. I introduced her sippy around 7 months. Just put it in her play area or during snack time so she could gravitate it to her own accord. Tried a few and she took right to a soft straw one, called nuby it's awesome and doesn't leak, found a BRU. Now she is a pro and loves to use her sippy. So I figure why not do away with bottles and put formula in her sippy. Better now opposed to when bottles are a habit... however I will stick to bed time bottle for now, she's maturing so quickly, sadface.
