On FB a picture popped up of a customized t-shirt a friend of mine makes. It has a female gymnast on it and is pink. I can only assume it would be for a girl. The name.... Greyson. Maybe I am wrong and it is for a boy Tongue Tied.

    Although personally it's NMS I do know two girls name Greyson. I do think of it as a unisex name.

    The -son ending also would make me assume boy. I don't find Greyson feminine or unisex at all.

    Is it totally wrong of me to be slightly happy that they didn't go and spell it Greysyn (because, you know, that's totes the girly spelling!).

    Greyson means "son of Grey" so it's basically the exact opposite of unisex.  It's male through and through.  Just because someone slaps a name on a girl doesn't mean it's meant for both boys and girls.

    Some people "cuten" up Greyson to Gracyn for girls.  At least the parents owned the name and spelled it correctly.  It's still a boy name on a girl, but it's not horrifically misspelled.

     

    Yeah I saw a "Gracen" spelling as well. The name just sounds so masculine to me.

    I agree, but what about Madison? It's definitely more popular for a girl and thought of as a girl name

    I believe it means Son of Maude.
