~~FFFC~~

I haven't seen one so I will start one!!!

I have already spent like $1000 on maternity clothes :) I have to have court and office appropriate stuff in addition to casual. In my own defense, I sold 100% of what I wore with DD bc I lost a lot of weight and the sizes wouldn't work this time.  Since I made $900 selling them on eBay, this time I'm basically buying whatever I want and will sell it when I'm done!

GO...

Re: ~~FFFC~~

  • Yesterday, I put Elmo on for DS and fell asleep on the couch. I don't think I was out for long, only 10 or 15 min. But still, not a gold star mommy day for me.
  • Loading the player...
  • I wear sweats pretty much everywhere. I have a pair of crappy target maternity jeans that bunch up in the front and the blue belly part slides all over, and they suck. So yeah, comfy sweats it is!
    image image

  • I just put my hood on and fell asleep at my desk at work for about 10 minutes. Thankfully there is only one other person in the office right now, and since she just got back from maternity leave, she can relate to my exhaustion and doesn't care.

  • An added bonus of having baby #2 is that our current guest room is now going to be DS's room. AKA..no more guest room.  I am so excited about this because everyone I would want to stay over anyway lives within driving distance.  DH's best friend and his wife stay with us when they are in town and I HATE it.  The guy is great but his wife is so snotty and obnoxious and their bulldog drools all over the house all weekend. Sorry! Guess you will have to stay with other friends from now on :)

I try to only turn on the TV when I'm cooking dinner, but sometimes I'm just exhausted and need to sit down for a minute, and those times I usually doze off. No big deal though, DD just snuggles on the couch with me.

  • I've spent a lot of money on maternity clothes too, and the stuff from my previous two pregnancies still fits.

No excuses here. I just like new stuff. And variety. :)

  • I have had HORRIBLE nausea and poor DH has been such a trooper and really just amazing taking care of the house and DD#1 and DD#2 as much as possible. Which is why I feel soooo terrible admitting I have been starting to feel a little better, still sick but much more manageable. The confession is, I am still getting out of tasks here and there for being "too sick."

I've just been so tired & lazy on top of everything that I don't feel like doing ANYTHING- but now I feel like all his extra help has moved from a necessity to me taking advantage of how sweet DH is. Don't get me wrong, I'm talking about small household chores, etc. but I know how those little tasks can add up when you've already had a long day... so basically I'm just being a jerk :(

We are tight budget people in our house but I would seriously pay someone any amount of money to go grocery shopping for me. I put it off for over a week we have like NO food in my house. Last night they were calling for a foot of snow and I still didn't go. Thankfully we didn't get that much so I can still go out and get food. But seriously the thought of the grocery store makes me want to vomit plus DD hates her carseat and hates shopping and screams the whole time and I wish I had a smart phone so I could put something on it and entertain her. Which I feel bad about but seriously grocery shopping is the worst thing in the world right now.

Do you live in an area with Harris Teeter?  You can do your shopping online and then drive up to the front of the store, push a button, and they will load everything into your car for you. You can even swipe your credit card right there in the parking lot,  it only costs about $4.  This service is the only reason we have had any groceries in the house for the past two months.

I did the same thing with the the LO I watch. His mom picked him up early today and I told her. She said,  don't worry we do that every Saturday morning so I didn't feel bad anymore!

No I wish that would be amazing. But now I am off to check the websites for other local grocery stores to see if they do that. That would be so amazing if they did!

Buehlers does this too if you have one close by.

. Try peapod.com. They usually work with a local grocery store and will deliver your groceries to your house! I've been scared of getting the flu, so we've been ordering groceries there and getting them delivered for months, lol

I have only bought one pair of dress pants so far since I can still get some of my suit pants to work with the bella band (but I don't love the look of my shirts/sweaters hanging out below my blazer) - I have the Gap perfect trouser in black and will probably buy a gray pair too.  They have the demi panel and are super comfy.  Plus they come in Ankle if you are short like me - I am 5'4" and swim in the regulars.

  • I have borderline personality disorder and have been able to manage two years without medication (they were doing more hard than good). This pregnancy has made it unmanageable. I am hating every second of it, even after our loss. I am going to talk to my midwife about it our next appointment.

I plan on getting the Tripp Trap chair as well :)

Honestly, they style of it is what initially sold me. It doesn't look like your average, bulky, chintzy looking stroller. Then after reading really good reviews I was pretty much set on having it. It seems easy to trasport and maneuvr. You can have your baby facing outwards, or looking at you. You can also adjust the height which would be helpful when eating out- you don't need to use a dirty baby chair, it pulls right up to the table.  It does not come with much- most of the "extras" are sold separately.

  • I just asked DH what he thought about a stroller that expensive and he said only if it comes inside a used car....Why do I have to be married to someone practical!?! I would love to be able to have that stroller.

Do not be so hard on your self. DN (we have custody of your nephew) tells me every evening after school, we are going to read my book, then you are going to fall asleep on the couch. Can you turn on Disney Channell before you fall asleep lol. I felt bad at first but he told me not to that the baby because the baby needs her rest.

LOL! Thank you for making me feel better. We hardly ever watch TV here, but we'd just gotten back from the aquarium and DS napped in the car, so I couldn't nap with him. I was so tired! It's so nice to hear you and the other mamas have done this too. I feel so sub par lately

Honestly, invest in a nice stroller. That one is outside my budget but it is worth every penny to get a good, quality stroller. That's my STM advice for the day.

  • I can't stand my employee. I'm the director of a childcare program and have one staff member because our program is small enough right now for just the two of us. He just started about a month ago and I already think I hate him. I'm sure my hormones aren't helping, but everything he does annoys me. He'a a good worker so that's not the issue, it's everything else. I don't think you can fire a good employee just for being annoying...

I totally agree. Although, the right stroller doesn't always have to be expensive. I prefer an umbrella stroller, and paid about $90 for mine, which I guess is expensive for that style. BIL advised DH multiple times to buy the $15 strollers. His logic was that they were going to break, so buy the cheap ones. I'm sure the cheap one's do break, but mine is just fine. I know several people with the same stroller and some are on their 3rd kid. I also know a few women who tried to save by buying a cheaper stroller, then they went back to buy another one because the first one didn't cut it. They wound up spending more in the end than a nice stroller would have been.

Do you live in a right to work state? If so, yes, yes you can. I've been fired because the boss' wife thought I was too pretty... I didn't even interact with the guy after I was hired! But I digress.

My confession is I have eaten nothing but fast food and krispy kreme doughnuts for the past 2 days. I feel kind of guilty, but at the same time I still haven't gained any weight. I don't know how... I'm kind of perplexed by the black hole that my body clearly has become!

Lol I actually think that's about how much we will get when we finally break down and trade in our clunker!

DH would probably poop if I tried to get him to buy a stroller that expensive.

I need a new stroller badly though.

  • My confession: I haven't worked out a single day since finding out I was pregnant. I tell hubs: ok, today we're going for a job. And then I pass out on the couch.

I make myself feel better by reminding myself that I work 40 hours a week and then attend in class night school 3 days a week. No excuse for the other 4 days of the week though :

  • I did pretty much nothing at work today. The new MOA kept jumping up and rooming all of the patients. I did not stop her. I do not feel guilty.

We got Pizza Hut for dinner tonight. DH got stuffed crust. I plan on ripping the crust off his leftovers. Again, no guilt.

I completely agree. I can't fathom spending $900 on a stroller and really don't think that is necessary but that is just me. But it is an item that you don't want to skimp on. I think we spent somewhere around $250-300 on DS's City Mini plus the accessories we wanted.
