Poop problem?

Benjamin hasn't pooped in 4 days now... is this an issue? I'm waiting for the Dr. to email me back. Everything else is going good. Wet diapers with every change. How long has your LO gone between bowel movements?

EBF babies don't always poop all the time. The BM is so easy for them to digest that there just isn't a lot of waste.

Thank you... Yes, it seems like from what I've read, it's pretty normal. Just a new thing for him. I keep waiting for a major explosion!

My bet is it will come JUST AFTER bath time, when he's in clean clothes (the last pair, probably) and on newly changed sheets. That's when our poop explosions show up, at least.

Oh, I'm sure you're right... I'll put off bath time for another day or two then. Haha

  • CJ regularly goes 2-6 days without a poop. Usually I am finding that when "poop day" comes he Doesn't sleep well the night before (ie last night) and the eats like he's gong through a growth spurt (every 1-2 hours) until boom! Big ol dirty diaper. Then he just wants to sleep the rest of the day like it was so much work. Poor little guy. So far I have found pampers to be the best at containment and on the rare occasions where it's everywhere, try scrubbing the clothes/linens etc with dish soap like dawn. It really works to prevent stains.
