Finally decided on a name and spelling. We are naming our little girl due in April, Emerson Grace. We will probably end up calling her Emme when she is little.

I think it is a fine name. I love the nn.

However it probably won't get much love on the board since you are using a boy's name.

Agreed, but at least with such a masculine name she can always fall back on her mn. Congrats on deciding.

I like Emerson for a girl though I do have a thing about a girl's name containing the word "son". DD is Payson but we chose to spell it Paysen.

I only know of one Emerson, and it's a girl. They do call her "Emmy" or "Em" most of the time.

When I first heard the name, I didn't like it, but I've warmed up to it a little I like it more now than I use to.

Well...I don't like the actual sound of Emerson, to be frank. It's just not pleasant-sounding to me. Grace is pretty. I love the nn Emme.

I usually agree with THIS but "Emersen" looked weird to me and I can't stand "emersyn" "emersin" or " emercyn". So we decided to keep the original spelling to save our daughter from always correcting people (which I have to do ALL the time)

Paysen looks super cute spelled that way though

If you've decided, I wouldn't ask for opinions.

But since you did, Emerson is NMS and I'm so over "Em_ Grace" names. It just seems overdone to me.

It's nice to decide but then it's probably not good to ask opinions. Alot of people get upset when doing this.

I like Grace but I don't like Emerson. It's all boy to me since it ends in "son".

I like it for a boy and suggested it to my DH but he reminded me it was an appliance company. So I decided against it.

Congrats on deciding! But since you are asking what we think...I'm not a fan of Emerson. It's become so popular for girls and I don't know why. Emme or Emmie is a cute nn, though.
