Another Maxi Pad Question

What is the outside of the Always Infinity huge pad like--the part that touches you, not sticks to your underwear.  Is it plastic-y at all??  Seems like last time I got something that was supposed to "wick away moisture" and it was this almost plastic-y mesh that irritated my skin.  I want the outside to be more cotton like, ya know?  Thanks!

Re: Another Maxi Pad Question

  • I usually go with Kotex for that reason, Kotex has a natural cotton pad that has no sticky tabs/plasticy material.

  • I didn't like the Always for that reason and also went with Kotex. It is cotton-like.

  • I haven't used always for years because that's my impression of them.  That and the padding inside would bunch up.  I'm a Stayfree gal myself.

  • I just bought some always infinity and was worried that they would be plasticy but to my suprise they arnt at all in fact I really liked them even more then carefree which is what I usually use. They are spongy and have vents for air flow, I would recommend giving them a try.

  • I agree with PP's that use Kotex instead.  I definately get irritated by Always brand.
