I'm going back to work PT (sort of 32 hrs/week) in a month. I will only have time to pump once a day at work during lunch. There's no way I can get away for 20 minutes any other time of the day. DS will probably eat twice while I'm gone. The days I'm home, obviously he will eat normally. Will it mess with my supply too much if some days I'm pumping just once during that time and other days, he's eating twice?
Re: ? about working & pumping
Just do the best you can and suppliment if you need to. Even a quick 10 minute pump session at10am and 3 pm gives me loads of milk ... if I can't manage it ... if not, then baby get formula - no biggie.
Take the pressure off. You'll work out what's best for your situation.
Much like Stacie, on the days that I could only pump at lunch, I usually pumped while driving to and from work as well. But a couple of days of that type of schedule would mess with my supply.
If you can't pump more, though, then no need to worry about it... just pump as much as you possibly can (including at home at nights/on your days off, if you're OK with it). Whatever you can't pump, make up with formula

Do you really not have ANY other time to take a break? Think about it this way - do you ever stop to chat with co-workers, hang out with a friend at the coffee machine, etc? All that time adds up. Plus, think about the folks who take smoke breaks every hour. I think we feel guilty about pumping but don't often realize how much other "unproductive" time we may have in our work day.
I say all that b/c often times you could really squeeze 15 minutes out if you eliminate the work "socializing". A tip to help you best managing that time is have extra parts and keep a plastic grocery bag with your pump. When you are finished pumping - don't worry about cleaning on the spot - just put in the bag and use clean parts the next session. Then clean all the parts when you get home. I have a minimum of 3 sets of parts just for that reason.
Another idea - as someone else suggested - pump on your commute home. Done it many times and then BF when I actually arrived home :-)
Good luck.
