Baby Names

Names similar to Noah or Liam?

We have love Noah since before we got married, love the sound of it and the biblical meaning of it. We also really like Liam, as we have some Irish origin. However, so does every other mom in America.

I would love to get some suggestions for similar names that are less popular. Under top 100 would be ideal. Help??

  • I'm not that great at the "similar feel" game, but here's a shot: Owen, Ian, Elijah, Evan, Nolan, Caleb, Jacob, Adam, Joel, Levi

ETA: Oops... didn't notice your "not in top 100 would be best" comment!

  • I named my son Eamonn - it's well known in Ireland but not so much here. I love Declan but it was getting too popular for me.

Eamon de Valera was the first president of independent Ireland.

What about Irish spellings of more common names - Eoin (Owen), Padraig (Patrick), etc.?

Oisin is also great but maybe a bit too crazy for the US (o-sheen)

I'm sort of addicted to Irish names...PM me if you want.

I'm thinking short with strong vowel sounds

    Owen

    Levi

    Ivan

    Koa

    Rafe

    Bowen

    Eli

    Leo

    Vito

    Bohdi

    Dean

    Ira

    Arlo

i think that sound may be exactly what I like  - love a lot on this list. I LOVE Rafe, but DH vetoed it, and I also like Owen but it's pretty popular also. I also really liked Leon, but again -vetoed. Any more suggestions?
