Backpack vs Tote

For the BTDT moms, did any if you use a backpack diaper bag instead of a tote? If so, do you think it's easier because it frees up your hands or did you prefer a tote style diaper bag? I like the Ju Ju be backpack and tote.

I used a tote bag and even though it had a lot I space it gave you that mind set that you can pack more than you honestly need. I am goin to go with a bit smaller possibly a back pack style bag this time around to save the head ache. The totes take up much too much space than needed.

I started with a tote then got a bigger, cross body Marc Jacobs diaper bag. Holds everything! Hands free, and I think quicker access than taking a backpack off my back.

I used a tote bag. But I love the JJB BFF bag bc it can be used as either. I would probably use it as a tote most of the time and then as a backpack if I needed both hands.

I prefer the cross body/tote because I can still easily access everything I need if I'm holding my daughter and need to get something out. It would be a much bigger pain with a backpack. The only time we use a backpack is when we're hiking with her and then we just use a regular backpack and toss her stuff in with ours.

I agree that I preferred a crossbody tote. I need to be able to have DD in one hand and reach down and pull something out with the other. If I had to take off a backpack every time I needed to wipe her nose I'd lose my mind!
