DS will be baptized this spring or summer and I would like to buy a new dress. I have one that would work, but I've worn it to every big event for the last 5 years. Does anyone have stores they would recommend, or maybe you've bought one recently that you'd like to share?
Re: Bored? Wanna help me shop?
I'm so jealous. The nearest outlet is 60 miles from us. The nearest clothing store is probably at least 35 miles. Anything worthwhile is an hour away. It stinks, but I suppose it's best that way, then I can't just leave and go shopping whenever I want!
I usually look online, find what I like, go to the store, and get mad because they don't have it in stock... I wish I dared to order clothes online.
What's your price range? Any color preference? Sleeves or no sleeves? how long should it be?
Here are a few I found just browsing around that I would like for a baptism (mind you, I am not religious and have no idea really what you are supposed to wear at a baptism ;-P):

Ricola
$100 max, anything but white, will probably be my "big event" dress for the next while so it will probably be worn to all weddings and funerals in the future. Nothing too revealing, I want to stay covered while chasing after kids.
There are a few I've been eyeing, how do you post from another site?
I just moused over the image and clicked on "copy image url", then added that here with the picture icon. :-)
I'll be checking for more tomorrow. Sadly I have to fold laundry now and straighten the living room before I head to bed. Booo.
I apologize if this doesn't work like I want it to, but here's a try. This is the one I keep going back to. Not sure about the keyhole, it could be a little revealing.

This one I think I could dress down since it looks a bit dressy.

Both those dresses you posted T were gorgeous!
I usually have good luck at Macy's. I found my dress for E's Baptism there.

Love the teal dress, but not sure about the key hole. Would it be easy to cover up with a cardigan?
For some inexpensive dresses, I've had luck at Old Navy and Target.
I do love White House Black Market too but they're somewhat expensive.
Also I follow a blog called Fantabulously Frugal and probably 3-4 times a week she's posting cute inexpensive dresses you could wear to weddings.
I love White House Black Market's website! They actually show a model spinning around so you can see how it lays. How cool is that!
Will have to check out that blog, thanks!
