The job waiting game is killing me!

I posted a while back about how my contract is going to end on Dec. 31st and I do not know if they will extend it so I started looking for jobs.

Well, as many of you might know Dec is NOT the best time to look for jobs. Many factors: vacations, the holidays, company budgets, etc.

Well, I emailed my recruiter to find out whether they are extending me and no answer yet.
I could go ask my boss myself but when you are a contractor it is unprofessional (at least in my field) to 'handle' your own contracts/money talk, etc.

I am looking for another job, no interviews yet and do not know if I will be getting extended so I dont know how much I can spend for Christmas.
I HATE uncertainty. Yeah, I am a control freak! LOL!

This post has no point. Just wanted to vent a little. Thanks for listening. :)

    I hate uncertainty too!  I was laid off 3 weeks ago and the uncertainty about when/if I will find another job is killing me.  I have a good amount of severance coming, so I don't have much to worry about right now.  Yet, I worry.
