Im never sure if Im giving her enough for lunch or dinner. Do you just keep feeding your LO until they refuse more? Ive been told that babies will stop when they are full....
The easiest way would be to stop feeding her and let her feed herself. She'll eat when she wants to then. Generally speaking, they will stop themselves, but sometimes w/ being spoon fed they just keep opening mindlessly.
She do feed herself. For example I sometimes buy those gerber pickups and only give her half the package for dinner with some peas and she eats them all up! And I just assume that is enough but Im thinking if I put the whole thing there she would eat it all, I just didnt know if that would be too much. I somteimes feel like she would eat until she got sick lol
We do BLW so it's pretty easy to know. They've fed themselves from day one of solids. DS has learned to do the same thing DD did; he pushes his plate away. Sometimes he just is finished and slaps at his plate or begins feeding the rest to our dog ;-)
My LO will swat my hand or spit it out or turn his head. It is pretty obvious for me although I do want him to eat more. I'm also teaching him sign language so he signs when he wants more.

Same here. L looks like she is "coloring" with her food and it flies off.
