Pregnancy is really hard on a husband. ![]()
Last night I told him he could throw out some leftovers of a food from the shower I hosted over the weekend. I had loved it when we made it for a party in September, but when I made it for this party I just wasn't as into it.
So he makes a big, dramatic sigh and says he just never knows what to expect from me when he comes home. He said I'm a food schizophrenic. (I think he's just crabby because the other day he tried to get into my Cheetos and I told him to back off my snacks.)
Poor baby, I'm sorry my food moodiness is so hard on you.
What suffering does your DH have to endure during your pregnancy?
Re: Oh, how my DH suffers!
My DH always complains about some ache or pain he has if I mention mine. Yes honey. Poor you.

Oh your poor abused spouse! His misery knows no bounds! :P
Mine has taken most things in stride. He's stepped up on kitchen duty, and doesn't whine when I'm too tired to do everything that needs to be done. However, now that very noticable changes are happening in my midrange, he iz knfzd. He doesn't understand why he can't do a full frontal body bump, or why when he bounces me on the bed by pressing on my hips I yell at him to stop! We're used to very physical comedy in our house, and I usually laugh my butt off at these things. Now all of a sudden it hurts and when I cry out it startles him. He's now walking on eggshells. He'll get used to it, but I think he's sad he lost his buddy for a while!

So my DH tore his ACL or something last Sunday as I've mentioned.
I'm trying to sleep last night, mind you, DH is off today and he wakes up around 2:30 and starts playing on his phone. I would like to rollover because I'm uncomfortable an i ask him to roll the other way so his phone won't be in my face. He says *deep breath*:
I'M JUST AS UNCOMFORTABLE AS YOU RIGHT NOW.
err...I knew your knee hurt, but I wasn't aware of the BABY INSIDE YOU. Took all I had not to punch him.
Right on! This week it's cheddar and sour cream ruffles. Nom nom nom.
My DH use to complain to high heaven when I would ask him to run to the store or gas station for something I was craving. Now, it's usually my pregnancy brain that causes issues. I can only focus on one thing at a time or I loose track of everything I'm doing and so I have told him this and he gets upset that he can't ask me more than one thing at a time but I can ask him to do more than one thing at a time.
But he's getting better. Now he just does most things without complaint.

He is also lonely bc I am not paying him enough attention. I have been too busy working, doing most of the housework, and raising our three kids. He is dreading the end of this month, because that's when my classes start up again and I have a heavy semester ahead of me. Will he ever be able to spend any time with me again?

Haha. I agree! It's just wrong to eat a pregnant woman's snacks! Snacks and crackers were my lifeline during the 1st trimester. I'd put them in my purse when we went out and DH would keep eating all of my snacks! Sometimes I'd be stuck gagging when I had none left in my purse because he ate the last one. I don't feel that bad when I snapped at him for it. He thought i was just being greedy and didnt actually "get" it until I threw up in the car from nausea.
DH: I hurt my back sweeping the floor.
Me: I hurt my back carrying your offspring in my belly all day.
DH: Touche.
