Curious - at what age do your LOs switch to the next room up at daycare?
At ours, DD will be in the infant/waddler room until 18 months, but they start doing a few hours a day in the toddler room around 15-16 months to transition them.

The daycare that I work at currently has 1 room split in half, that is basically for 0-18 months on one side and 18 months - 3 on the other and then a third room for 3 +. They are currently converting a room over to split up the 0-3 years better, but I am not sure what they will do, there is currently 4 kids under 1, Ava at 1, and then a like 10 kids who are all about 18 or 19 months old, so I am not sure what makes the best sense.

I am super curious about this myself. I need to remember to ask at DC. DS' infant room has three children in it. The next room up has four children. They are all 18 months+. The next room is 2s. I don't see DS fitting in the next room up, but I also don't see them keeping him in the infant room too much longer because he is really walking now.
We change rooms every 6 months until 2. Parker is just about to move to the next room (12 mo. - 18 mo.). She has been transitioning all week by going during the nap time that they will be phasing out. She will be a one nap baby! She usually is anyway, but now it will be official.
At Abby's daycare there is only one room for under 2s. Though all the kids but one between her age and two months older. So the room will just transition with them.
Our DC moves up sometime between 1 year and 18 mths depending on when space opens up. The first class was 06 mths. She has 4 kids ahead of her to move up to the next room so she may be staying put till later this spring.

DD just moved to the next room on Monday. She will be in this room until she is 18 months.
She is actually the smallest one by a lot in the new class and they were worried that she would get hurt but I guess having SD around her who likes to take her toys and push her down has toughen her up and she held her own yesterday when the class bully took her toy, she pushed him down.
Our infant room is divided in half by a half wall. One side is newborn to 12ish months. The other side is 12ish months to 18 months. The next room is divided I'm half too. 18 months2. Then 23.
But they dont move up exactly by the calendar. They evaluate skill. Laney will move up ahead of 2 boys because she's more mobile and getting rough with the younger babies.

Infant-1 goes from 6 weeks-6 months old (DD started at 12 weeks old)
Infant-2 (where she is now) goes from 6-12/13 months old.
Toddler-1 goes from 12/13-18 months old (she'll be moving to this room with 2 other children around March 1).

This is the same for us.
