1st Trimester

Impatiently waiting!

I am 7 weeks, 5 days and I'm going insane waiting for an ultrasound!  I had my first appointment at 6 weeks but the OB practice doesn't usually see patients for their first appt until 8 weeks and then 4 weeks later you have your first ultrasound.  The doctor I used with my first pregnancy went by the same schedule but due to bleeding I was able to have an ultrasound at 8 weeks.  I know it sounds crazy but I don't feel like it's REALLY real until I have an ultrasound or hear a heartbeat.  So, now I sit here waiting for March 12, which feels like forever!  Anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Impatiently waiting!

  • Waiting sucks!! I would love for my OB practice to at least call and book me in already just so I'd have some kind of freaking date to look forward too! Right now all I can look forward to is the 1st trimester ending, but that is way toooooooo long. I had 2 blood tests done a week ago, and my numbers were doing good, but that's just not enough to me! I need more reasurance!

  • I only have to wait until Monday to see my RE and I swear it feels like its FOREVER away. I am just so nervous to see what she finds out bc I have no idea how far along I am since AF never came back after my m/c in November. If anyone knows of a way to distract from the time dragging, please share!

  • To keep myself busy, I have been cleaning out our spare room so that later on we can have somewhere to put baby items. It makes me feel like I'm getting something done, and it makes this pregnancy feel more real. :)
  • Right there with ya! I'm 7 weeks today and I have my first u/s next Friday (day after my birthday!).  It feels like an eternity!!  With my Son I had some cramping, so I had an u/s at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 20 weeks and 31 weeks.  I don't like not knowing what is going on!!!
