What new things can your LO do?

So DD is creeping up on 2.5 months!! Its crazy to think that I'll soon be heading over to the 3-6 month board. SAD FACE! But I'm just wondering, what are some of the things that your LO is doing now as they're getting older?

- DD is smiling like crazy right now! Every morning she wakes up all smiles. And all day long she will grin really big when we talk to her!

- She started rolling from tummy to back like 3 weeks ago which I thought wasn't supposed to happen for a long time. But she will end tummy time on her own accord!

- This girl stands when I hold her by her hands. Elbows bent and with a tight grip on my fingers, she can hold her own and of course, she smiles about it!

- Talking. She makes OHs and AHs and even WOWs! If she's in a room full of loud talkers, she joins in!

What are you proud of your LO for doing already?

Re: What new things can your LO do?

  • DD is doing all the same things, but I am proud that it makes her a good ol average 2.5 month old. Oh, LO is learning calculus now, so.... I am pretty much ready for that honor student bumper sticker.

  • My DS isn't rolling over yet, but he hates tummy time so it's hard for him to get much practice. He's started using his hands more and pulling things up to his mouth like blankets and his lovey. He puts his hands on his bottle when I feed him too. He's been "talking" a lot and loves to smile and flirt.

  • K is doing almost everything pp listed except rolling over, but she is definitley holding her upper body up very well and for a long time. Making strides at rolling over but not yet. I also think she says, "OK". or her version of it. When she begins to cry I always say, "its Okaay, It's okay." and then she repeats, "oooohhggaaay, ooooggay!"  Sooo cute/funny!

  • yes, smiling and cooing lots, grabbing toys like crazy and yesterday she laughed!! it was the cutest thing Ive ever seen and I wanted to bottle it up to show DH when he got home from work...this is why I am trying to WFH or be a SAHM part-time, I def dont want to miss this stuff
  • My DS still isn't rolling over - but he's a chubby little baby, and he hates tummy time - so I'm blaming that.  He likes to stand up though, and is pulling everything around him to his mouth :)  So I know he's coordinated and has the muscle strength for it, but just isn't ready to roll all over the place yet: that's ok, it'll happen :D

He's really starting to laugh now, though we don't have the whole "roaring baby laugh" just yet, and he's getting more and more comfortable with DH taking care of him, which is nice for both my psyche, and physical health ;)  Plus, what's cuter than a man and a baby??

  • My LO started to grab and bat at toys this week. She also laughs and squeals a lot, it's so funny.
