bath time tips?

So now that DD is pulling up trying to sit up she decided her baby tub was a good place to pull herself up and flip forward, scared the daylights out of me. She waited until I was dipping the wash cloth in to flip over the hump and her face went right in the water, she didn't have time to inhale any before I had her back in the tub the right way, but now I'm wondering of any one has any tips for keeping her from trying it again. We already put minimal water in it, the bottom part below the hump usually has just enough to dip a cup in to use to wet her down and rinse her and she is never unattended or out of reach. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Tyia

Re: bath time tips?

  • I will have to find one of these, she's my first and since our local stores only carry baby tubs, I didn't know they existed. She sits mostly unsupported so she shouldn't have any problems in one. Ty so much!

  • ditto PP.  We loved this inflatable tub because it had a saddle horn so that her slippery tushie wouldnt slide around and she stayed upright.  We used this until right around 11 months adjusted when she was ready to be in the big tub.

  • I will definitely be making a stop at the store when we go for her next development appointment in the city, I had my sil check the store here for me again since she was already going after the first reply, they just have baby tubs and some weird lounge type thing to put in the tub that honestly can't be safe at all, she sent me a picture, no rails nothing just looks like a baby sized pool side chair without anything to keep the baby from rolling off.

  • Inflatables are great, I use a duck  by munchking. But I may put a washcloth under his bottom to keep him from sliding. I also saw some bumpers that go all the way around the big bathtub from"one step ahead" catalog. I may get that to protect the head .
