Thoughts on Grady?

I think it's just ok. The name itself is fine, but it just makes me think grainy, or greedy, even grimey. I'm not a huge fan of GR names, except for maybe Graham, but then I just think of crackers.

I went to junior high with one and he was pretty cool so I have a good association with it. But it also makes me think of the word grody. :S

The first thing that popped in my head is The Shining. Isn't the ghost or whatever it was who killed his family named Grady? It's close enough if it wasn't to make me think of it. However that's pretty random on my part, but I still don't love it.

I like the name Graham, Grant, Garrett better for G names.

ETA: Ha! I see someone else thought of the Shining too. I guess I wasn't that random after all. That is one freaky movie.

I don't really like it and I just don't know why. I'm naming my LO Brady and Grady is very similar so it's weird to me that I don't like the name Grady...

I'm not a big fan. It's just really NMS (I'm also not big on Brady/Brody etc.), so I can't give you any feedback apart from: we have different taste, there's nothing wrong with the name itself.

NMS. While I'm assuming its for a boy, for some reason it looks feminine to me. Also, all I can see in Grady is greedy. Sorry. What about Brady?
