AW: Nursery done!

We are pretty thrilled that our nursery is done! Totally get that not everyone likes our sense of style, but we love it!  I did move the picture from over the crib to next to the big bed.  I'm super happy with everything!  I made the bolsters (fox on one, two rabbits on the other), found the little vintage bike basket that holds some little receiving blankets (next to changing table), and we have several little foxes for our new baby fox-in-socks!

The little white blanket on the crib is just a pillowcase.  I don't know why it is there. : ) It doesn't match at all.

I'm thrilled to still have the double bed in the baby's room.  For a few months, while he is still sleeping in our room, it means the grandparents can have their own room. And once he's bigger, it is still a useful flopping spot to night nurse or what have you.  Anyway, it works for us.

"Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing
