Last week was full of miracles and good news for me.
I have a 13 year old dog. He has a heart murmur. It got suddenly worse about a year ago and he has been going to a cardiologist and is on medicine to stablize it. It was not supposed to get better, just stay the same. We took him to the cardiologist last week and a resident was with our normal doctor. The regular guy asked the resident if he could hear a murmur. The resident said maybe but just slightly. Of course, I thought that the resident was an idiot and just did not know what to listen for. Nope, my dogs murmur decreased to slightly audible which the cardiologist has only witnessed a few times in his career.
The Friday I went for my weekly BPP. The last one showed a grade 3 placenta. I saw the areas of calcification and it was the high risk doctor doing the scan so I believe that it was there. Friday's scan only showed a grade 2. My BP is normal and all of my health problems seem to have suddenly resolved. My induction for the 18th has been put on hold. The OB told me that he never thought that I would be this healthy at this point and thought that I would have done an emergency delivery by this point. He now either wants to induce at 38 or probably 39 weeks and we will just take it week by week to decide.
Last week truely was a good week.

We are naming the baby after my grandmother. Her birthday was 2/25 which is the Monday when I will be past 38 weeks. My guess is that the baby will come that day.
That is a wonderful way to honor your grandmother! FX your LO holds out that long!

This is awesome news! Congrats on your BP improving so much!
I will likely find out this week how long my OB is going to let me go - I don't think it will be past 39 weeks. I was hoping he would come 4 days late and be born on what would have been my grandma's100th b-day, instead we might be shooting for my grandpa's b-day on 2/26.
Hooray!!!! [insert happy Snoopy dance here]

Congrats! That would be wonderful if the baby is born on her BDAY! My oldest was born on my parents Wedding anniversary. My dad died the following year. Now each year on her anniversary my om celebrates the day with my daughter.
