Re: TTT

  • 1. For someone who is as impatient as I am, this 2ww is KILLING me! I just need an answer!!!

    2.  We got snow again this weekend and earlier this week and it makes me feel super gloomy...I am ready for spring!

    3. I may start watching my niece but getting everything straightened out with my sister is a little stressful and sort of irritating.

    4. C and I went out and bought some new items for the living room and finally hung some pictures...we've been in this house for over a year but its finally starting to look like we live here!

    5. C is going out of town tomorrow until Thursday night so she will be home tomorrow morning and I'm pretty excited about that (not about the being gone part but about the spending the morning together part).

    6. I think the dogs have a case of cabin fever because they have been ultra irritating!

    7. We moved the Wii back upstairs and its been a nice distraction from the waiting for a BFP or AF.

    8. I have two weeks left in the class I am currently in (math...not my strong suit) so I am really looking forward to getting it over with!

    9. I don't know if its stress or baby hormones (lets hope baby hormones) but my fuse has been particularly short recently.

    10. I made a rather large to do list today and finished almost everything on the list...so that is also exciting!

  • Thanks for posting firstcomeslove!

    1. We are still at the end if our TWW and I kind of lost it a bit today... Just so frustrating not knowing either way! I knew I would be okay for two weeks, but now it is after two weeks and we still don't have an answer!
    2. Work has been extremely busy and that has at least been occupying my time for a few hours a day which has been nice.
    3. I am reading the Divergent series and it is really good!
    4. I am also listening to The Night Circus read on CD. It is another really good story!
    5. If I don't get back into running training soon I am going to be really sorry, as I am signed up for a 10k in 3 weeks and a half marathon in April.
    6. I tried to out up some shelves the other night and it was a total disaster! I ran the dry wall anchor right through the dry wall and it left a big hole in the wall.... Oops!
    7. I am traveling for work this week, and hate being away from A, especially while she is waiting for AF, because I want to be here if an answer materializes.
    8. I am about ready for spring... And I usually love snow, but this winter seems to be draining me.
    9. We finally put up some of our wedding photos in our house, which makes it look a little bit more cozy!
    10. The last two days have really just seemed like we can't catch a break... All little stuff, but it is adding up to be very frustrating and taxing. We keep hoping for the next day to be better.

    Baby Hayden Frances born 12/20/14 at 11:11 a.m...  Our perfect little miracle.  Here's how we got here:

  • 1. I was put on another work project, so we are able to keep my income in (yay!) while I continue working from home.

    2. We are meeting with potential KD and wife on Saturday to have a long discussion and get some questions answered. We still haven't made a decision if we are going to use him or not...

    3. My wife (T) and I were able to get her taxes done and it looks like we will be getting a nice refund

    4. Getting a nice refund is going to help us pay off bills (still paying for our DIY/Budget wedding because of some things that happened the week before) and once those are paid in full, we will be more comfortable ttc.

    5. We haven't gotten anywhere with trying to put me on T's insurance. Actually our potential KD is the Union President and is going to fight for us

    6. T and I are going to get out and hike either today or tomorrow, despite the frigid weather and snow. I MISS HIKING!

    7. I have terrible anxiety when T is on duty (gone for 24hrs) and I am alone in the house. We live outside the city and have had someone try to break in (we actually live in a REALLY great area, this person was passing through...) so I have decided to take up boxing/martial arts so I can get healthier and feel more confident in my home

    8. During the "break in", which was a month before the wedding, our cat learned to despise our doorbell. When we had someone at the door recently and they rang the doorbell....the cat growled, haha

    9. I'm enjoying having a normal cycle for the second month in a row, without the help of meds. I did just start metformin, just to make sure I am ovulating.

    10. I love this board.

  • 1. I did the first day of the couch to 10k program yesterday. I'm excited about that. Planning to enter a 10k with a friend on May 12. (That will be 13 weeks after I started and it is a 14 week program, but I will make it work I think.)

    2. M's birthday is the 13th and our two year anniversary is the 20th. I'm excited.

    3. On the 16th we will head to Chicago for M's mom, sister, and mom's husband to meet my parents and my brothers. I'm kinda excited and kinda really anxious.

     4. I've been working on my dissertation, which feels really good.

    5. M is still having some sleeping issues. I wish I could do more to help her with the stress at work.

    6. I'm so excited for MollyKelley and the amazing partner IVF plan!

    7. I"m really frustrated with M's work and the variety of work issues there that are causing so much stress for M in terms of thinking about getting pregnant and also in terms of work load stress keeping her up at night.

    8. I should get started on my dissertation work.

    9. I'm glad that TTT got posted, even if late.

    10. I'm not looking forward to the snow storm that we're supposed to get Thursday evening.

    ****loss discussed*****

    We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

    Our IUIs
    with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.

    Our IVFs:
    IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response

    IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
    BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
    2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
    BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255

    ***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***

    FET #1 December 2014
    Intralipid infusion on Dec 10. Transfer of 1 day 3 nine-cell embryo into my uterus on Dec. 19. (acupuncture immediately before and after)

  • 1.  I love TTT!

    2.  I was up at 5am this morning with a bellyache, but managed to knock off one thing on my to-do list and take a short nap before work - WIN!

    3.  H is the best partner in the world and takes such good care of me when I am in a foul, stressed-out mood after work.   She also looks adorable in a hoodie.

    4.  I am planning a work event for the weekend and am terrified it won't go well for both personal and professional reasons!  Stressy!  Trying to accept that most of it is out of my control, and I trust our facilitator a ton.

    5.  My boss invited me to submit a proposal for a conference that takes place 3 days after our Love Party.   It feels like a good career move to submit and go, but a terrible conflict to shift our post-love party cottage plans!

    6.  However, I just realized the weather at the cottage will only get warmer if we push it later... (silver lining?)

    7. There are SO many people having twins on the board these days --- or maybe I'm just paying attention to it now that we have an injectable cycle planned...

    8. I have a massage booked this afternoon and am totally looking forward to it.

    9.  I stared a Healthy Living check-in on the TTTC board and haven't done any of my "goals" this week yet --- I suck!

    10. I'm totally jealous of those of you who have insurance coverage for fertility procedures...  I'm so grateful that we have the small amount of one-time funding we have access to, and the fact that some of our meds will be covered, but the thought that TTC can and may exhaust us financially is such a hard one for me to process.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    queer couple - 32 (me) & 33 (my love) years old - donor sperm,
    Partner IVF#1a- December 2013 - H's eggs, my Ute - CANCELLED due to low response
    Partner IVF #1b - February 2014 - H's eggs, my Ute - ER February 4 (10 retrieved, 3 fertilized), Transfer Feb 7 of one Grade 1 and one Grade 2 day 3 embryos.  1 - Day 3, Grade 1 frosty saved.   BFP - 6dp3dt via FRER, Beta #1 - 110, Beta #2 175, Beta #3 - 348, Beta #4 - 2222!, Beta #5 - 4255.  Ultrasound (6w1d) - 2 heartbearts!
  • 1.  Working from home is a lot more relaxing when I know my boss is also not in the office.  Thumbs up on that today!
    2.  I've lost 5 pounds in the last few days for no apparent reason.  I'm not overly concerned about it, the baby is stil moving around tons and I have a prenatal scheduled for tomorrow, but I find it really curious.  I've done nothing differently.  Maybe it's my scale.
    3. The daytime TV options really suck for background noise while working.
    4. I'm excited for the dog walker to get here so I can go upstairs and get some work done in the nursery over my "Lunch break."
    5. Well I'm back from that lunch break now, and that was a pretty big bust.  I really didn't get much done.
    6. I really wish I could get more accomplished while I'm home, but between the actual work that I need to do and needing to stay in one place so the dog doesn't get into everything, it just doesn't happen.
    7. I'm really happy to read everyone's happy updates every week.  And I really feel for all of you that are struggling TTC.  I've been there.  It really is so nice to have this board to help me know I'm not alone.
    8. We had dinner at a friend's house last night and it was really fun.  There were 6 of us there and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  I need more of that.
    9. I think I'll try to set up our diaper service this afternoon.  It's an easy way to cross 1 thing off of my massive to-do list.
    10.  That's all I've got.
  • Ok, here goes...I might not be able to think of 10!
    1. My wife and I have been together for almost 10 years.
    2. We got married in Canada before marriage was legal in  our state.
     3. Said this in my intro post, but we have 2 little girls and are due with 2 more in sept. we used clomid and ovadrill. It was my first iui this time.
    4. I work part time, mostly from home.
    5. My wife is a teacher.
    6. I consider myself a pretty laid back mom.
    7. Hmm, running out of things to say now. I don't care at all about decorating. I don't usually notice when DW changes art work around.
    8. I am pretty good about keeping up with the housework and cooking.
    9.  I ran a marathon last year! I don't really consider myself a runner though.
    10. I prefer cake to pie but like cookies better than both of those. Oh, and donuts. Love donuts, ESP. Chocolate glazed from dunkin. Actually, might be having a craving now. Wonder if  DW will go get me one!
    Pphew, made it.
    DD 1- 7/07 DD 2 - 1/11 Twins, due 9/13
  • Oooh, I want to play, even though it's Wednesday! (I'm such a rebel.)
    1. We had our first meeting with our OB today-- we'd been seeing her PA previously-- and the baby's heartbeat is good. Little one kept swimming away from the Doppler and I teased my partner that the babe's already an introvert.
    2. Last night I dreamed that the baby was a puffer fish. The doctor was telling us that either the condition would not be compatible with life, or we would be heralded as the creators of a new species. So I'm anxious for the anatomy scan in 2.5 weeks to make sure we don't have a puffer fish in there...
    3. All my clients are getting pregnant! I had two cancellations because of morning sickness today.
    4. Those cancellations aren't a good thing because I need hours. Not to make money-- I'm an intern so I work for free-- but because I have to log a certain # of direct service hours before I can take the licensing exam in April.
    5. Adult acne keeps me looking young. And shiny.
    6. I just finished the newest Dave Eggers novel and I found it disappointing. I think I'm losing patience with books about middle aged straight white guy ennui.
    7. My best friend got a new, better-paying job that will allow her and her partner to start ttc (good) but now she's moving 2 hours away (bad).
    8. I timed my arrival at the bus stop perfectly this morning. I didn't have to run to catch the bus, but I didn't have to wait more than a minute in the cold.
    9. Winter in Wisconsin-- yuck. I've take to wearing leg warmers to keep the bottoms of my pants from dragging.
    10. My niece is turning 8 and having her party at the Humane Society. Instead of presents, she wants all of her friends to donate money or supplies to the shelter. She's a great kid. :)
