Handyman Vent

So I'm pretty PO'd because I've had two handymen fall through over doing repairs and painting my nursery and I pretty friggin had it. I met last Saturday with the new guy I got to replace the last guy who's been farting around and not getting to the work, and told him that I needed it done ASAP and before my shower this Saturday. He assured me that he could do it and would maybe start Monday, if not then Tuesday. Well here I am Wednesday and still no guy. Text and phone tag and a whole lotta excuses. I'm ticked because I really wanted to have things ready to go so that when we bring home the shower gifts there is someplace to put them. My DH is out of town and will be home for the shower then out of town for 10 days straight, so we really need someone else to do this.

 I'm *almost* about to try to do it myself. I'm just like WTF does a pregnant lady have to do to get some home improvement in this camp??? I want my nursery put together!!!

    Incredibly frustrating! I've been trying to have someone work on my backyard for the last month and everyone's either not shown up or won't even call back.

    I can imagine since it's your nursery that would be soo frustrating. I hope he gets it done and done well!

    Oh no!  I wouldn't bank on them getting everything done in time.  Do you have and friendsmor family that can help you out?

    Why don't you just do it yourself? I did DD's room completely by myself - at least I knew it was done well and I got exactly what I wanted.

    boat too.. I just think its so crazy to have to chase after someone to give them money. Smh.

    Looking into options but just pissed because at this point it's so last minute. I just really wanted it done by Friday. That's why I set this up last week!

    Maybe if I was 25 weeks... But at 35 I don't think I can hang. I painted our bedroom pre preggers, but I can't see getting on a stepladder now to cut in at the ceiling. I almost fall over standing on the ground on my own!. And I get exhausted and lots of BH and feeling dizzy after about 15 mins of exertion. All no bueno so I didn't want to try.
