I normally don't watch Katie Couric's talk show, but it was on when I turned on the tv this afternoon. It was about multiples.
Here's the website of the story that I saw:
https://www.brianandmistybaker.com/
They are a couple on who had struggled to get pregnant for 10 years and had tried IVF multiple times. Their last option was to try a surrogate and the wife's best friend offered to do it. They had 6 embryos left. They transferred 2 of the embryos to the surrogate and transferred the other 4 to the wife expecting it to fail again. Well both of them ended up pregnant with twins! Crazy, but so neat. I can't imagine having 4 babies though, wow.
Re: Neat Story
I thought it was strange too, but they said they assumed it would be unsuccessful since all the other transfers were unsuccessful. I guess they figured, what the heck, might as well give it a try since there are 4 embryos left.
That is crazy!
I love the picture of them in the crib, too cute!
