It's kind of NMS, but I think I actually like it a little bit. I also had a Simona in class - I didn't like it on paper at first, but over the course of the semester it grew on me and now I really like it. It's a little more feminine, IMO, if that's your hang-up with Simone.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
I used to like this name for a girl before I lived in Italy. Now that I speak Italian (and married an Italian) and know a large number of male Simones, I could never name my daughter Simone.
I have always loved the name Simone and was psyched when I learned it was a family name on my DH's side. I would love to use it someday as a middle name.
I have a friend named Simone and she's a German model...she's gorgeous so I think of it as a pretty name. It's all about a person's familiarity with a name.

I used to like this name for a girl before I lived in Italy. Now that I speak Italian (and married an Italian) and know a large number of male Simones, I could never name my daughter Simone.
However, if you like it, go for it!
I have always loved the name Simone and was psyched when I learned it was a family name on my DH's side. I would love to use it someday as a middle name.

I have a friend named Simone and she's a German model...she's gorgeous so I think of it as a pretty name. It's all about a person's familiarity with a name.
If I ever have another daughter, her MN will be Simone. I LOVE it.
