Luther? Yay or Nay?

I saw the name Luther on a different forum and I was wondering what you guys thought about it? You can be as brutal as you like. I would rather know if my choice is a horrible one or not.

I really want to like it... and if I met someone with a baby with that name, I think I'd be really approving. I am a big fan of Martin Luther and I think it's that association that draws me in. I also think of Lex Luther, the super villian, though.

Yes I am! I'm the same Kmommy91. I also go on Baby Center occasionally but my username is KandZ127. I "stole" Luther from the WTE board. I thought it was a really cool name.

I think it sounds strong and works well for an adult. Nay for me because I'm Catholic and it just doesn't sit right with me.

Also I know DH wouldn't like to name his child for a comic book villain.

I don't mind it. I do think of Lex Luther, Luther Vandross, and the Luther on that old show, "Coach." I also once knew a dog named Luther, but that doesn't mean much. It's a fine name.

Not a name I would pick but I think it is a fine name. It makes me think of the lovable old guy on the tv show Coach.

I don't like the way it sounds when I say it! It is a real name, spelled correctly so I wouldn't think twice or side eye anyone but I just am not a fan!
