My twins just turned 2 (yesterday!) and have been showing some potty training readiness signs. They tell me when they are going to poop, ask for clean diapers afterwards, and can take off their own pants. They both ask to go into the bathroom a lot, and want to follow DS1 in there. But they are pretty uncontrollable in the bathroom - unrolling toilet paper, turning on the sink, getting up and running out of the room, etc. They throw a fit if I take them in alone, and I can't keep an eye on the other one from the bathroom.
What was it like when you potty trained your multiples, and what did you do with one while helping the other? Is it worth it to start early? DS1 wasn't fully potty-trained until about 3 1/2, so I wasn't expecting to start so soon with the twins.
Thanks!
Re: Looking for potty training hints
I used one of those "three day" methods with mine at about 2 years, 3 months. And even though they had shown the signs that they were ready - it didn't "take".
Sadly, since I work full time I couldn't stay at home to continue the method, so we had to stop. i am planning on doing it again in March (on my break from work). Other MOM's I know SWEAR by this method though!
