Yesterday my chunk decided to come out of the closet and start rolling in public. I swear she's been able to roll over since birth, but I always blamed her sister. So tummy time has gone like this today:
Put baby on tummy.
In 0.2 seconds, she rolls to her back.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
She wants to be on her back, so I'm just going to give her back time instead.
Re: What's the point of tummy time?
It's to help strengthen their neck muscles. TT is relatively new, and is used because in the 90's they started the "back to sleep" campaign to help reduce SIDS. Some babies were developing a flat spot on the back of their heads since they spent so much time on their backs. Now they want babies doing TT to reduce that.
You can do TT with baby laying on your tummy.

I want this dog.
I LOLed at this. Sorry. The question was entirely rhetorical.
I love this gif!
Wish Z would figure out the roll. Our tummy time consists of
put baby on tummy
baby gives help me chirp
baby does core superman move and moves arms down by his side
baby gives help me chirp
baby screams and crys real tears
all while doing superman.
So he can hold his head up, great! we've never had problems with that, using our arms to get off our tummy or make it easier, too much like work
.
Me too. Love this gif!
Porter does the exact same! Superman moves and all.......lol
