forgot my pump!

I got to work today after my hour long commute only to realize I forgot my pump!  I can't believe I did that . . . oh wait, yes I can -I'm actually surprised it took 4 months of being back at work before I forgot it.  Fortunately, I have the best husband in the world and he sets his own work schedule, so he'll be able to bring it to me by mid-morning.  My boobies will be hurting by then, but at least I don't have to run out and buy an alternative pump.

  • Yay for husbands!

The hospital gave me a basic medela manual pump-- if you have something like that, could you leave it at work so if it happens again, you'll be able to pump just in case your husband can't bring you yours? Manual pumping isn't ideal-- but it's better than nothing.

  • Lucky your DH could save the day!  I had to go home mid-day once because I forgot my pump.  I made it for as long as I could stand it, and told my boss I had to go home because of it lol.  You could buy a cheapie manual (I think my single manual backup was $20 at walmart?) and keep it at work, just in case.

  • I've never forgotten the pump, but I've forgotten pump parts a few times.  I now have 6 sets of pump parts - I keep one at work and one in the car LOL.

  • I forgot my flanges today. Thankfully target had them in stock! Last time I forgot them target was out of stock. I live 30 mins from work. I had to go ask my male boss if I could work from home the rest of the day so I wouldn't lose so much time on the road. Luckily he laughed when I told him why! Thankful for an easy going /understanding boss. he has 2 young kids so luckily he understands baby related issues!

  • I've done that before too. So glad your Dh came through! I keep an evenflo pump at work now because of this. It was like 50 and works in a pinch!
