This is BS. C has been teething with his upper molars and lower front tooth for over a week. Even with Advil, he's waking up multiple times a night. This is our third night in a row of wake-ups, and we are freakin' exhausted. I'm super nervous because I've been giving him Advil once a night for probably over 7 days. Am I ruining his liver? He is besides himself. During the day I can distract him, but not in the middle of the night. DH thinks that we should give him a 2nd dose around 3am when he's awake, but like I said, I'm nervous about his liver.
This has never gone on this long. What.the.eff.
Re: Are you in teething hell, too? Come commiserate with me
This is awesome!! What a great excuse for being sent home early, although not for you. Yes, C went through that part of the teething stage already. The Bump sent out an email that said that chewing on frozen peas might help. I think that if I tried that, he'd spit them at me. Although I've had him suck on the frozen pea bag before with previous teeth and he seemed to like it. I had NO IDEA that teething was this bad.
You made me feel better about the Advil, thank you. Guess I'm just paranoid, that lovely Mommy Guilt..
ETA: It is not awesome that she is physically snotty and miserable. In my tired state, I read it as her attitude was that way. I'm sorry, when I reread that, I sounded like a total b!tch!
For adults, oil of cloves helps with tooth aches. I would try that. Check first if it is a problem for little kids.
Right here! E is one giant grump and all bets are off as far as when and what she will eat and when and how long she will sleep. We're walking on a tightrope over here.
