At my doctor appointment today, I had to fill out the standard form that is supposed to tell them if you are depressed or not. One of the questions was, "Are you socially isolated?" And my first response was yes, since I've only met two people since I moved - one has already moved away, and the other wasn't really a social meeting.
But I don't FEEL socially isolated, unlike with my last two major moves. I KNOW what it feels like, so I marked "no" on the form, even though my main social interaction (until I meet some local people) is with you ladies.
So THANK YOU, ladies - you are keeping from feeling socially isolated and depressed, even if it is through the computer. Seriously - thank you.
Group hug?

One good thing about having real internet and not just my phone is that all of your GIFs show up now.
This makes me happy.

Haha - I'm socially awkward, too. As long as we're ALL weird, it's normal, right?
Are you kidding Shanado?? I wish you lived near me!
At least you have co-workers! I have this group and a local FB group. I'm going to a few get-togethers soon, so hopefully I'll have some IRL friends here soon.
If you have people you talk to on a regular basis who keep you from slipping into a depressed funk, I think it counts, even if those friends/family are miles away or on the internet.
Oh wait? Is this not that kind of party? My bad...
