Today is awful

My sister had to put her dog down today AND my Grandparents had to put theirs down too. My sister knew for about a week this was happening but my GPs didn't know. I have no idea what happened, I haven't talked to them yet. Their dog was 13yo and not in the best of shape. I'm worried about my gram. She's lost two children already, one as recent as last Jan. This dog was their LIFE! I'm afraid for her, I really am.

    I'm so sad...I'm a huge dog person and I cry losing a dog like I do a family member. I couldn't watch Teen Mom 2 when Chelsea's dog was killed by the neighbor's dog. I changed the channel right after that. I thought about it for hours after seeing it the first time. I love my 5yo puggle.
    I'm thinking bout your family.
    Yes, teen mom is my guilty pleasure.

    I am sorry shanado. I hope you Gram is ok. Losing a pet is hard and it will take time to move on but they will never be forgotten.

    That is a sad day. Is it possible to get your grandma another dog? It won't be the same but it might help the sad feelings?That's what MIL and FIL did for MIL's parents.nbsp;
    She's 76, I don't think she would be able to handle it. That was my first thought. I've never lost a beloved pet and I can't imagine how it feels especially when said pet consumes most of your life. It's sad.

    I am so sorry and I 100% understand what you mean. DH has been bugging me to get a dog for years, but that alone is reason enough for me to never yield on that front.
