I'm currently trying to field family requests as to appropriate visit times after DS is born (they need to buy plane tickets) and was wondering about the likelyhood of the baby being early or late based upon previous labor experiences? Basically, DD was early so I'm wondering if DS will be early too.
So my question for the STMs, if LO1 was early/late, did LO2 also come early/late?
Thanks ladies! And congrats!! ![]()
Re: STMs labor timing?
First was 40w 3days and second was 39w 4 days.
Good luck!!
1st baby = 2 weeks early
2nd baby = 2 days late
3rd baby = Born on due date
All of my labors have been early, three right around 38 weeks and the last at 37wk1d.
My labors sped up quite a bit too, with the first being 27 hours and the last being just 45 minutes.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
First was 39w6d and the second was 39w1d.
Both times my water broke and both times there was no labor progression from where I initially began, and I needed pitocin. From there, L&D was 12 hours from start to finish with DS, and 5 hours with #2.
Baby 1 - 41 weeks 5 days, induced
Baby 2 - 41 weeks exactly, natural
DD born at 39w3d, 3 hours of labor
