What are some of you doing about the baby monitor situation. I'll be putting DD#1 in her big girl bed around the same time as DD#2 in her crib for the first time, so I really would like to keep an eye on them both. Any suggestions?
We have the Motorola monitor. You can buy it with two cameras at once too. Great monitor. Pricey but worth it. It will scan between the two cameras periodically, maybe 30 sec, but I'm not sure of the exact time.

We bought a second camera. Motorola on Amazon. It gave me such piece of mind with DS1 that there is no question we need one with DS2. We also ave the angel care monitor. GL!
We are buying a second camera. We have the summer infant system and you use one monitor but can add more cameras.
That's what I was thinking of doing, I have the same camera, but I looked into it and they sell extra cameras but they cannot be used at the same time. It's only an extra camera not meant for multi-use. I read all the reviews on babies r us website, then I looked on the actual summer website, and found this out. bummer:(
We have the motorola system that pans/tilts (I think its the 3.5 inch screen one). We have a camera in the nursery and in the big boys room. It's great and I highly recommend it. It scans between the rooms and you really need the pan/tilt function for kids in regular kids in my opinion.

This. We have the Angel Care monitor, which I really like having for young babies. We also just bought (like yesterday) the Motorola MBP36 video monitor that we'll use with two cameras that scan between their rooms.
Yeah, it'll be overkill at first, but once #2 is older and more mobile, we'll take the Angel Care out and just use the Motorola.
Re: 2 baby monitors???

How does that work over night? Do you leave it on the baby and hope the toddler is ok overnight?
