Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Dropping a feeding?

When do babies start to drop a day feeding? My DS is almost 8 mos and FF. He certainly doesn't seem to scream for his bottles like he used to and today and yesterday he has refused 1 feeding he usually has 4.

Re: Dropping a feeding?

  • Yea that's true. Also meant to read as he has dropped 1 feeding each day for two days

  • They shouldn't be at 3 meals til at least one year.  He still needs 24-32 ozs of formula at 8 months, so definitely not 3 feedings material.

My pedi said to go to three meals at 8 months.  OP, I'm not sure when they drop a feeding, but mine has started to do that too.  Sometimes she doesn't want to finish the bottle when she always used to and recently she wet fro 5 to 4 bottles.

  • Hmm I didn't think about teething, my DS is too and he's also been having some separation anxiety so I guess it could be due to anything. Yea my DS has four 8 oz bottles a day and 2-3meals as well and my pedi too said this was fine.
