When will be your last day of work if you are working? I'm due June 23 and I'm a chef in a busy restaurant. I'm hoping to make it until June 16 to start my leave. I won't return until September 3.
Last day of work will be the day labor starts. I'm not sure what I'd do with myself if I were just hanging around the house waiting for something to happen.
If my job actually provided paid maternity leave (different from sick/vacation time), I would probably take the week of my due date off, just to get the house cleaned and stuff. That would be ideal, but...whatcha gonna do!
I have some sick days saved up just in case she comes early, but it's a "use it, or lose it" situation, so when we get closer to the end of the school year, I will decide if I will just burn them at the end of the year. I have sub plans already drawn up for the last two weeks of school, just in case -- I am very fearful she's going to come early!
I'll be working up until I go into labor. I've got a desk job, and after Mat Leave will be working at home part time. I'm actually thinking I'll start working from home about a week before my due date, unless I go into labor earlier than that. I've only got 8 weeks of leave, and I want to make the most of that time.
It really depends on what my doctor says. In a perfect world, I will work up until the day I have him. (I will more-than-likely be a May Mom because of my high blood pressure.) But she's already not happy I work such long hours and commute two hours a day to work, so I just hope everything continues to be OK with us.
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.

I plan to stay as long as possible at work, so my water may break at my desk! Of course, if there are health issues, etc, that won't be possible.

With DD, I worked up until delivery (well, within three days because my doc put me out of work at the last minute due to low fluids while we awaited my induction date).
I worked that Friday, and had DD the following Wednesday.
I plan to work up until delivery with this LO, too.
I'm working as long as possible - in theory up until my water breaks (or you know, 5-1-1 and all that jazz). Like one PP said, I only get 8 weeks, so I'm saving that for when the baby's here!
I plan to work in office until my due date. After that I will work from home or just start my maternity leave. Now that we have a maternity leave policy I can take an extra week or so and use my vacation time.
I plan on working until I go into labor. But with my previous two I have been put on bed rest so I was at home way before my due date with those two. I am hoping and praying that I work unitl the end with lucky number three!
Our opera season finishes May 11, so I'll be flying home from Houston to Seattle on May 12. That will be 34 weeks for me! And then we don't start again until October. I don't get paid for the time I'm off, but we tried to plan it so I'll have the maximum amount of time off with the baby.
I'm not getting any paid time off for my maternity leave, so I plan on working until I go into labor. If I do make it past my due date, and I'm extremely uncomfortable.... that's when I'd make the decision to stay at home. I have a desk job... but its in NYC so my commute involves a lot of walking and a subway ride. Not too comfortable when you are huge and about to pop!

I was planning on working until the end, or take the day off before a scheduled c/s if I go that route again like I had to with my daughter. But since I'm going to be a SAHM after this baby is born, DH said I should give myself a couple weeks to transition into it. I guess I'll see how many sick/PH days I have left by then (since I'll use some for dr's visits and if my daughter gets sick between now and June) and then use those since it's a use-it-or-lose-it situation with those when you leave.

I'll have a repeat, scheduled c/s this time at 39 weeks, so I plan to work right up until the end. I assume the c/s will be the week of June 24, so I'll probably make Friday June 21 my last day. If it's later that week, I might work a few days more. My vacation/sick time is all I get for maternity leave, so I'd rather not use it beforehand if I don't have to. We'll see!
I will work until I go into labor. I work for a non-FMLA qualifying company (too small) and will only get 8 weeks off (4 paid). Therefore working until I deliver is really important. I WFH as well, so if I go into labor while at work, I may also try and do some laboring while working/getting paid (haha).
I'm working right up until the end. My PTO is precious and kicks in after 6 weeks of short term disability so I want to be able to take my full 3 months off!
If I was still working, I'd work as long as I possibly could.
With DD, I was lucky enough that my boss wanted me to work from home for the last few weeks. I worked right up until the weekend she was born. I honestly would have continued going into the office if he would let me, but both he and DH were worried about my long-ish commute.
Honestly, while uncomfortable, the last few weeks went by soooo slowly. I would have been bored crazy if I didn't have work to do!
ETA: Had I had a more physically strenuous job, I probably would have stopped 1 week before I was due.
I'll be working until I pop unless my doc says otherwise as we get closer. I have to do extra monitoring at the end, so she may make me stop depending on how that's going. (my blood test says I have low papp A) I'm a yoga instructor, so I'm on my feet a lot and I expect that to get super uncomfortable. I may shorten my schedule the last month and just teach once a day?! after that I'm staying at home and after a few months I'll start teaching again part-time.
I am due June 1 and can have 4 weeks of pregnancy disability (partial pay). I will more than likely have April 5th be my last day but I'm not sure. I'll need to talk to my doctor and get her thoughts on my commute and see how I am donig at 35/36 weeks pregnant.
I am already counting down the time until I am on leave!
I'm due June 23 and am saving a week or two's vacation so I can take off from May 31 onwards. I live in Canada where, I hate to say it!, we get a year off.
I'm due June 23rd also! My last day (I teach, so the last day before summer break) will be May 24th, and I am counting down the days! I literally cannot wait!

I'm not sure what kind of company you work for, but can you not apply for FMLA to protect your job while you're gone? That stinks; I'm sorry!!
Dang. I hope everything works out!

With DS, I worked until the day I went into labor. I worked a desk job, so it wasn't physically demanding at all.
This time, I'm a SAHM, so I'm never off
