Wanted to ask you ladies for your opinion on this. We have several trips planned in the next few months where we will be flying to our destination with DD and I am wondering if I should have bought those travel insurance policies offered through the airlines. I usually never buy those, but with a toddler it seems like unexpected illnesses and injuries come up out of nowhere and I am mainly concerned about covering our losses in the event of a cancellation. I've been buying each leg of the trip separately because of timing and costs and but the cost of insurance is really adding up, considering the budget airfare. think to reschedule though the airlines, you end up losing ~$100 plus any additional cost in the airfare. Is travel insurance a recommended purchase?
Re: Buy Travel Insurance?
Your credit card company might already have travel insurance on your trips. Check that out first.
If not, I generally recommend it. Then again, I've been caught in a hurricane on one trip and nearly had to cancel a trip due to a layoff another time. So, I'm in the better safe than sorry camp.
