I'm just curious and want to hear the stories...Does anyone know of anyone who was told boy at ultrasound but had a girl? or told girl and had boy?
I was told 100% boy at a 16 week ultrasound (which i know is kind of early) but then at a 24 week one, we were told 100% girl. no questions asked.
So we have done everything for this baby to plan for a girl. But DH is joking that it still could be a boy....Anyone have any good stories?

Now Im nervous...we have been told girl at 15 weeks and 20 weeks. But I have another ultrasound at 36 weeks to check my placenta placement and to estimate LOs size. We went all out girl because our oldest is a boy...
6 years ago, a good friend of mine was told she was having a boy but ended up having a girl. I'll never forget that voicemail message: "Hey Friend, call me back. I had a girl!"
Since my friend was so girly, we had been teasing her through her entire pregnancy that she was supposed to have a girl and we wouldn't take boy for an answer. She was ready for her boy, but very excited when she got her girl.
This really freaks me out. The tech told us so quickly at our A/S that it was a girl. She never pointed out the parts and we never asked. I was too busy being excited that it was a girl! That was my last U/S.
DH still thinks there is hope that it will be a boy. I just cut a ton of tags off of girl clothes and washed them. It will definitely be a shock if it's a boy!
Just ask them to double check the sex. That's what I did, and sho 'nuff. I have picture proof
I'm not terribly girly but soooo many of my friends thought we would be having a girl because that's just what they can see me with. While I would be happy with either, I think I always hoped it would be a girl too. I already have two SKs (one of each) and don't know that we'll have any more children...so I did have my heart set on having a girl. I'm glad we found out the sex though because we found out that LO was a boy. It has definitely helped to prepare me. Before the a/s, DH reminded me that the scans are not always right...but once he found out LO is a boy, he quit saying that because, although he thinks I'm meant to have a girl, I think he really wants a boy. The weird thing is that I've been having dreams lately that the baby does end up being a girl. So who knows! lol
Also, I do know of babies being born the opposite gender of what their scans originally said...but none in the last 5 or less years.

I'm sure it happens but I don't think it likely happens all that often. Despite that, I'm also slightly worried that we've been told one thing and will end up with the opposite, only because I've committed to buying girl's stuff now (we started with gender neutral so at least not everything is feminine!).
We've been told by three different techs at three different ultrasounds that it's a girl though (20, 21 and 31 weeks), and at some point you just have to accept what you're told and move on!
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the (3 hour) night terrified that the baby is a girl... I'm just not ready to have a girl, and I've felt all along that this LO is a boy. The tech confirmed at our 21weeks U/S that it is a little male, and we have the money shot to prove it, but I still have nightmares...
A friend of mine was told boy at 15weeks, then girl at 20weeks, then boy again at 25weeks... And girl again at 30weeks...
Needless to say, when that little boy came out at 35weeks sharp, she checked twice to make sure it was, indeed, a boy. He spent three weeks in NICU, and every diaper change, my friend was there to make sure it was still a boy.
If they got a croch shot, take a look at it. Three lines=girl, penis=boy.
Both times with mine it was very obvious.
Always Sunny's back b-tches!
Yes, I have two friends that were told boy and planned everything for a boy and they ended up delivering Girls!!
