Hello everyone. I just recently (as in last week) found out that I am pregnant after a successful IVF cycle. We have been TTC for 3.5 years now. I was hoping to log on here and get some information, as this will be our first child. I also had some really silly questions, but was hoping you all wouldn't mind answering them.
I'm trying to be super careful about what I eat/do. I am now 4 weeks along. Here are my questions:
1. If I was exposed to cigar smoke for literally like 1-2 minutes today, am I ok?
2. Are there any fruits or veggies that I need to stay away from?
3. Do I need to go fragrance free on everything yet?
Thanks everyone!
Re: New to forum and pregnancy
Welcome!
1. You are fine...even if you were stuck with it for several hours, as long as you weren't the one smoking, your baby is fine.
2. Not that I'm aware of.
3. I don't go fragrance free at any point during pregnancy, but I don't use much makeup, perfume, etc anyway.
Also, if you look down the left hand column of boards, there are boards for each month....if you find the month you are due, often times you can see other people asking the same questions so it can be really helpful if you don't feel like asking here!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
As for fruits and veggies the more the better. Eat the good for you fattening kind, like avocado. Those types of fats links in nuts and avocados are good for growing babies!
I try to avoid toxins in my life. So avoiding smelly air freshness and things like that are already something I do. I probably was more conscious of that when I was pg.
One more thing. There is a pregnant after infertility group on the bump google it. I don't think it yet shows up on the mobile listing.
Welcome and congrats!
