I ate yellowtail

I ate cooked sushi this weekend, and on the top of it was yellow tail (the inside was seaweed, crab meat, and cream cheese). Yellow tail was not on my doctor's do not eat list, so I thought it was ok. But then I googled it and I get mixed results. Does anyone know if this fish a big no no? I am feeling very bad about eating it. :(

Re: I ate yellowtail

  • Not sure what mixed results you are getting, but it's on the list to avoid. I'm sure a one time deal is fine. I would avoid seafood for the rest of the week though. It's on the list of highest containing mercury.

  • Yeah, you just want to limit fish that could be high in mercury. I'm sure one time is fine though.

  • One time is fine. Don't feel too bad about it, just don't eat it every day.

Some websites say you can't eat it at all, others say it's ok to eat as long as you eat it in limited amounts. I just wasn't sure...

  • I will be avoiding all fish for the week. :)

My prenatal's have the DHA in them. This would still be ok to take right?
