May sound weird, but curious if everyone is ordering a mattress protector? I heard if your water breaks in bed, it could be impossible to get out. Just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were..
I bought a twin sized, non-fitted mattress protector last time and just put it under the sheet on my side of the bed. I figured I can always throw it on DD's twin bed when she's potty training so it isn't a total waste.
My water actually did break in bed last time, but because it was more of a slow leak than a big gush, it really wasn't a big deal. I'll put the protector on again this time though, just in case.
I have 2 for the baby's crib, so I'm going to stick one under my side the next time I change the sheets. On top of the one that we already have on it because the dog likes to yack on our bed.

My labor with DS started with my water breaking. I had gotten up and gone to the bathroom, walked back to my bed, and bam! water broke. Thank goodness I wasn't actually in my bed yet!
We already have a waterproof pad on the bed. We had one with DS#1 as well - my water did end up breaking in bed. It would have ruined the mattress. It is worth $20 to protect a mattress that might cost thousands.
I've purchased one for our bed. In addition to protecting the mattress from the possibility of my water breaking, I've heard it can also be invaluable if you leak through the sanitary napkin from post partum bleeding, leaking milk, or a whole manner of other things that apparently may come out of my body (or the baby's if he is laying on the bed) after the baby is born.

This is why I'll be getting one. Really, I should probably get started on ordering that, haha.

I put one on when I was pregnant with LO#1. My water did break but it was a slow leak and I was not in bed at the time
It actually made the bed more comfortable and never took it off.
