Have you switched to the 3+ months pacifiers? I think the ones we have are 0-6 months, but DD refuses the firmer, 3+ months pacis. Would it be a huge deal if she continued to use the softer ones?
I use the gum drop version and there 3 plus month paci is for teething and it's huge...d hates it. I'm sticking with the 0 to 3 bc he only uses it for naps until he falls asleep and then spits it out.
I wouldn't really worry about it until your LO has a few teeth. I'm pretty sure the only reason you need the next step up is so that they don't chew on it and bite any chunks off.
I don't think we switched with DS1 until way after 6mo and used those until 20 months when we weaned him.
DD was never a big paci fan, but we did these and she would take the 0-3 months every now and then, but when we switched to the next step up, she hasn't taken one since. I'd check with my pedi to be sure.
My son is 5 months old tomorrow and got his two bottom teeth a couple weeks ago. He still uses the 03 soothies. He doesnt like the 36 ones. But he does chew on them so i have to watch him with it now.

L has and uses both. She takes the 0-3 at night and for naps, but has the next size in her carseat. We don't see any issues at this point.

We bought 3-6m gumdrop ones. I tried at 3m and C wouldn't take them. I just kept trying every time it crossed my mind. He just started taking them a few weeks ago. I think it just takes getting used to. He loves to chew on them. He doesn't have any teeth yet.
Side eye away: my 3.75 year old still uses the 0 to 3 month. They are perfectly fine. Neither are great, but usually slightly less damaging for older kids than thumb sucking. He always refused the firmer ones. He didn't develop another attachment to a lovely or blanket of any kind, except the darn paci. He still falls asleep with one for naps and at bedtime until he's asleep and it falls out of his mouth.
I was actually wondering this exact same thing. I didn't want to give up his wubbanub (it's a doggy and he LOVES it) but I was a little worried that we were suposed to upgrade to a harder paci. Thanks for posting!

Um, my 2yo still uses the 3 month ones...LOL He never liked the harder ones.
ETA: No flames, please! He only uses them for nighttime sleeping, and w/ a 5mo that isn't STTN I'm not ready to get rid of them yet!
