how long did everyone wait??

My little man is 4 weeks old today!! And I am dieing to dtd with my hubby

I was just wondering how long everyone waited before they started back at it. we are wanting to try to have another right away! And i have heard many diffrent stories some women had their pp app at 4 weeks and some at 6 i have mine next Monday at 5 weeks so its not to much longer and hopefully i can hold off lol !!

The reason they put you on pelvic rest is because there is a wound in your uterus where your placenta detached. It increases your risk of infection which could lead to risks to your fertility. I'm also getting very antsy, but we're going to wait.

3.5 weeks for us. Pp checkup was at 6 weeks. I'd been done bleeding for a few days. At my checkup my dr didn't even ask or say anything about it.

We waited until after I got the all-clear at my 6 week appt. If you're going to be TTC, I'd wait at least until then, as your doctor may suggest waiting a certain amount of time before TTC to let everything down there (and/or in there) heal.

I stopped bleeding at 3 weeks and we did it at 4. It hurt so we quit and tried again at 5 and it worked! Good luck on having another one!

I will be waiting until after my 6 week. Beyond that it will depend on how I'm feeling. I would talk to your Dr. about TTC right away. I know there are medical reasons for waiting a minimum amount of time.

Lurking, but with DS we waited 3 wks. I honestly wish we would have waited till after my 6 wk check up. I ended up getting a severe uterine infection that landed me in the hospital for 6 days, and was told I would need a hysterectomy if the infection didn't go away. I was on such a high dose of antibiodics that I couldnt BF because nothing was coming out anymore. The medicine they had to give me depleted my body of it's milk supply, and I was never able to produce it again after that.

My midwife told me to wait until 6 weeks but if you decide to do it before 6 weeks to use a condom. I waited until my 6 week check up when I was cleared.

4 weeks and 3 days. Lol. My last one I waited to the 6 week check up, but this time around I really couldn't wait, and saw no signs of issues. Probably should've waited, but oh well. Our house is a lot more relaxed now haha

We waited 9 weeks and it was awful for me and so we haven't tried since, I need more time to heal.

UHH like 9 weeks or something? I definitely wasn't "dying to dtd". I would wait to get cleared by your OB.

DH and I held off till my appointment at 7 weeks, was the hardest 7 weeks!! But the Dr. cleared me and we left DD at Grandma's for a few hours

With #1, we waited the 6 wks. I was still not 100% after my c/s. This time around, I'm sure we'll wait the full 6 wks again because of my tearing. I'll consider it once I can wipe myself again.

We just wait until Im done bleeding. I've never tore with any of ours babies. FYI if your breastfeeding, you probably won't ovulate right away. We tried having baby 1 and 2 close together but I didn't start ovulating until 7 months pp. I got pregnant the next month. Same thing happened with baby 2 I didn't ovulate until 6 months pp

I would definitely wait until you are cleared by your OB. Everyone heals differently.

This on TTC. My OB told us the best time to go for baby number 2 was anywhere from 15 to 18 months. Although your healed after 6 weeks, it takes up to 18 months for your entire body to get back to normal. Of course, I know TONS of people that got pregnant right after their FB, but I would talk to your OB about it all. They really know most on that.

Just did last night. I had my appointment last week but had an issue "down there" with low estrogen due to breast feeding, so I had to wait a few days to have the creams kick in.
