i figure I have coupons for both ... so why not try a studio picture.....but which one?

    Agree with this. Especially the digital files. We've done JCP too and were happy enough with what we got. They really try to upsell you with the prints though so watch out for that.

    Yep. I think it's always better to go in with an idea of how many prints you want and what sizes so you don't get overwhelmed when they try to make you buy EVERYTHING.

    I just took K to get pictures done at JCP this past Saturday. They came out absolutely gorgeous. They had a great deal for prints so I was very pleased with the outcome and price. Look at there special offers online. I think sometimes when you do go to JCP it's hit or miss w/ the photographers there. I was lucky enough to get someone who did a fabulous job!

    I like picture people because they seem to do things that are more unique than the typical picture, but they both do a great job I think!

    Picture People! I tried to do my two year old's pics at JCP and the "photographer" was awful..She didnt know how to interact with kids clearly because my daughter was being shy and I was trying to warm her up to the idea of posing for the picture and the lady was all up in her face and all touchy which made my daughter shut down even more. They also did not have much to offer prop/background wise...After a complete melt down we walked around the mall and thought we'd try Picture People and the photographer was great. Lots of props and cute ideas..a little more pricy yes, but worth it.
