I hosted a shower this weekend

I had almost forgotten how straightforward and drama-free it could be.

I sent invitations, if anyone asked where she was registered I told them, I fed people heavy apps and cake, and the guest of honor was both gracious and grateful. 

YAY.

    I almost didn't believe it myself.  Where were the people demanding to bring books?  What about the MTB insisting on gift cards and a four-course country club event?  WHERE DID I GO SO WRONG???  :)
